The EBMT (UK) NAP Committee welcomes you. As part of the main EBMT group we exist to provide education and networking opportunities for all healthcare professionals involved in the care of stem cell transplant patients in the UK.

We meet once a year but have now developed this site to give opportunities to network outside of the meetings. Please take a moment to register so that you receive regular updates and information about our meetings. As more details become available on the forthcoming meeting you will be able to register through this site.
Please register for membership of the site as it will be great to start sharing ideas.

Scholarship Winners

We were very pleased to award two of our members scholarships to attend the recent EBMT meeting in Paris, 3 – 6 April 2011.

1. Educational Scholarship

Liz Dunn, Matron at Guy’s Hospital, has started her PhD and wanted to attend the meeting to explore the current key issues in stem cell transplant ation and gauge what should be applied to her studies. We wish Liz all the best of luck and will be inviting her to our meeting in Manchester on 17 November 2011 to update us on her progress.

2. EBMT Travel Scholarship

Tom Marler-Hauser, Charge Nurse at King’s College Hospital, submitted an abstract that was accepted for poster presentation. It explores an early warning score for the deteriorating stem cell transplant patient. We look forward to Tom presenting this at our London meeting on 30 June 2011.

All our scholarships are again available for 2011 – this presents a fabulous opportunity for members to tap into funds.
